Philippines’ state-run television network, PTV, has started devoting airtime to the Global Goals. PTV’s morning show, Bagong Pilipinas, has recently launched it’s new weekly segment, SDG Tambayan, where discussions revolve around the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

A young person’s dream
Once upon a time, “changing the world” was just a dream — a vague statement I didn’t really know how to make happen. Maybe at the back of my mind I didn’t really believe it’s something that could be done. Nonetheless, it was a hopeful endeavor that gave me purpose, an optimistic challenge that somehow pushed me to keep trying to be better every single day until I get the satisfaction of having done something that makes a dent in this world.

In September 2016, I answered a call for applications for the founding members of a youth formation set to rally the Filipino youth to engage in efforts towards achieving sustainable development. I wasfortunate enough to be selected and be a member of the dynamic team who started to build the 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines into what it is today.

The 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines held its 1st General Assembly for member-advocates last August 19th at the Cinematheque Centre in Manila. Over a hundred member-advocates were in attendance.
