Eah Antonio
Eah is a communications specialist and media practitioner producing content for various media platforms for the past ten years. Her work centers on sustainable development, well being, youth empowerment and civic participation. She is currently the Asia Pacific Communications Officer of Break Free From Plastic, a global movement of over 11,000 organizations envisioning a future free of plastic pollution. Eah also worked as a consultant for various projects in the government, civil society, and private sector, and worked as a producer in ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC).
Believing in the power of the media to connect people and encourage action, Eah had been a volunteer for a community education radio in the Philippines for over four years. In 2016, she co-founded Pinoy Catalyst, an online platform designed to be a one-stop hub for the development sector in the Philippines. And amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Eah co-created an alternative online channel, Quarantalk Media, to tackle stories and issues concerning the public. Her multimedia work since 2010 has centered on creating spaces to amplify peoples’ stories.
Eah continues to promote volunteerism and civic participation as part of iVolunteer Philippines. She also currently sits as a Board Trustee of the 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines Inc. (YFPH) where she previously served as its Director for External Affairs and as National Convenor. The 2030 Youth Force is an international network of youth pushing for the attainment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Eah holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philippines.
